A business delegation from the Republic of Poland headed by H.E. Mr. Marek Sawicki, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, met with the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Agriculture of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on June 06, 2012 in Sarajevo. The discussions focused on improvement of cooperation and partnerships in the field of agricultural production.

Minister Sawicki pointed out that good political relations between Poland and Bosnia and Herzegovina should be followed by stronger trade exchange and economic cooperation in general, stressing that his Government is ready to strengthen economic relations as there are many venues to explore in this respect. As a sign of good will, Minister Sawicki stated that his country would donate a mine clearance robot and invited the representatives of the Federation Government to visit Poland.

Minister Ivanković-Lijanović stated that Poland's experience in food production could be valuable for our country as well as any support Poland could provide to for the improvement of our agricultural production, stressing that Bosnia and Herzegovina could benefit from Poland's experience in using EU funds for agriculture, and also other sectors as well.
