Mr. Ante Petrić, Advisor to Minister and Mr. Nijaz Brković Assistant Minister for Agriculture met on April 29, 2013 with the executive director of the American-Israeli company UniFood ORGIL, Mr. Miloš Marković and the representatives of this consortium for Southeastern Europe.  

They discussed cooperation opportunities in the field of primary agricultural production and food processing as well as capacity building and professional training in Bosnia and Herzegovina to increase the ability to absorb the new technologies for the development of modern agriculture. This consortium has decided to carry out the transfer of technologies in CEFTA countries in the forthcoming period to ensure the placement of agricultural products, semi-prepared and prepared foods on Southeastern European, as well as the American, Israeli and Russian markets. This in particular relates to organic production which is already well positioned on some markets in the world.

The meeting participants also discussed the fruit and vegetable greenhouse production and the ways to improve it using Israeli expertise and experience in greenhouse technology, plant protection and irrigation development. UniFood Orgil representatives also agreed to negotiate with the World Bank on the future projects in the field of agriculture in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
