The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Jerko Ivanković-Lijanović met with H.E. Ismet Abasov, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan within the framework of the 28^th FAO Regional Conference for Europe and Central Asia held in Baku on April 19, 2012.

The two ministers discussed cooperation in the field of agricultural production with special emphasis on exploring investment opportunities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Minister Ivanković-Lijanović stressed that Azerbaijani market is very interesting for agricultural producers from Bosnia and Herzegovina due to high purchasing power of the people of Azerbaijan, a country rich in oil and gas reserves. He also said that Azerbaijani investors were called to invest in Bosnia and Herzegovina and that Minister Abasov was invited to visit our country together with potential investors to further explore these cooperation opportunities.
